LANCER LOUNGE RENOVATION
Bullock Creek High School was the recipient of a $5,000 grant from the Midland County Youth Action Council (MCYAC). The grant was awarded to Bullock Creek to renovate our Career Center into the Lancer Lounge. The goal with making this transformation was to promote a sense of community amongst our student body and to provide a place for students to have a working lounge. We wanted to create an atmosphere of belonging and enhance the high school experience for our students.
To accomplish this goal, the tables and chairs that were in the Career Center were moved out and replaced with two high-top tables and stools, five lounge chairs, a couch, and ottomans. The atmosphere of the lounge is relaxing and inviting. Students can catch up on the school announcements, check their mailboxes, work on homework and have access to laptops. We are thankful to MCYAC for helping us to make this renovation so successful. Students are already using the Lancer Lounge and love having the space to work independently.
