October 5 Announcements

Attention athletes:  If you are interested in playing a winter sport, you must sign up in the main office as soon as possible!
Davenport University will be here TOMORROW at 1:00 pm to speak with any Juniors or Seniors interested in attending there.  Please sign up in the Counseling office to meet with the representative.
Students wishing to dual enroll at Delta College for 2nd semester must have their completed and signed application into Mrs. Brown by Wednesday, October 7.
Sign up in the Counseling Office to speak with the Saginaw Valley State University representative.  They will be here on Thursday, October 8th, at 12:30 pm.
The Volleyball teams will be having a “Pledging For Pink” night on Wednesday, October 21st at our home volleyball match with Alma. You can order  this year’s “pink” night t-shirt for only $10 during both lunches – or grab a form from Mrs. Huntoon’s desk in the office – until Wednesday.  Don’t miss out!  Be sure to pre-order your shirt.  There will NOT be many to buy later!
There will be an SAT Parent Information Meeting on Thursday, October 86:30-7:30pm at Central Auditorium.  This meeting is for all Midland County parents to learn more about the new, redesigned SAT.
The boys cross country team competed at the Gladwin Cedar Bend Invitational on Saturday. The team took 3rd place. Spencer Waldmann won the race with a time of 17:00 and Brennan Mudd finished in 3rd!  Our other varsity runners for the meet were Levi Gagne, Bob Burdick, Thatcher Trudell, DJ Parkinson, and Brett Pinet. Our junior varsity runners also had great performances for the day, most notably Luke Winslow who ran to a 4th place finish in the JV race.  The girls cross country team took 2nd at the Invitational last Saturday.  Marissa Lashuay was meet champion for the 3rd time this season with a time of 20:32.  Yu Mei Anderson and Brooklynn Riggle were top ten medalists, while Kayleen Kindy and Julia Draves also scored for the team.  Great job, everyone!
Attention those interested in participating in Robotics: There will be an informational parent meeting on Monday, October 12th in the cafeteria at 5:00 pm.
It came down to the last run, of the last event, on the last day, but our awesome Bullock Creek Equestrian team won by 7 points to be the Region C, Division A Champions.  Now on to States!  States will be held October 15-18 at the Midland County Fairgrounds.  Come on out and cheer on your amazing Equestrian team!
