To Costa Rica and back in one day? ¡Sí!
Recently students in the BCHS Spanish III / IV class had the opportunity to “travel” to Costa Rica when they participated in a virtual trip. Students packed their bags, grabbed their passports and headed on a plane to San José, the capital of Costa Rica, where they utilized their Spanish-speaking skills in a real-world simulation. Upon arrival students had to pass through customs and answer several questions (en español, of course). After entering the country (which was really the library), students went to several stations where they learned about Costa Rican food and culture, as well as practiced their traveling vocabulary and grammar.
