As I begin writing my Weekly Newsletter, I am reminded of how much I love working with Middle School Students. What a great week! As many of you know, last week we had out Annual Welcome Back Barbecue. We had a spectacular turnout. We served over 450 hotdogs. I had the opportunity to meet so many parents. If you were able to come, I would like to thank you for your attendance.
The Lancer Varsity Football team will host Ovid-Elsie tonight at 7:00pm
There are a few upcoming events that you will want to add to your calendar. Next week is Homecoming week with the Varsity Football team hosting Chesaning at Lancer Stadium on Friday night, kick off is at 7:00pm. The homecoming parade will begin at 4:30 at the corner of Stewart and Patterson. The parade will move west on Stewart, turn south on Badour and end at the High School. Please join the Sports Boosters for the Annual Tailgate party after the parade. Please come out and support the Lancers.
The Middle School Fall Parent and Teacher Conferences will take place on October 11th from 4-7:30pm and October 13th from 3-6:30pm. Many of you keep up with grades through School View, conferences are a great opportunity to connect with teachers. We would like to invite you all to attend.
There are five days in the month of October designed to MEAP testing. October 11th, 12th, 13th, 18th and 19th. The state requires all schools to administer the MEAP on these days. Please encourage your kids to prepare well by getting plenty of rest.
Sharing Tree Forms and Community Christmas Closet Forms will be coming home this week. If you are in need of more forms, please contact the Middle School. Please note that the deadline to turn in Sharing Tree Forms is October 7th and the Community Christmas Closet Forms need to be turned in by October 21st. Please contact the Middle School if you have further questions.
