BCHS Families,
I want to wish everyone a safe and happy Holiday Break. Here are a couple of notes as we head to break:
1. School will resume on Monday, January 4.
2. First Semester exams take place on January 21 and 22. The exam schedule is attached. There is no school for students on Monday, January 25.
3. Last chance for Sports Boosters apparel order pick up is today (December 22) between 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Otherwise, the apparel will be available when students return from break.
4. If you have a senior, senior slide show pictures are due to Mrs. Discher by Friday, January 22.
5. Break is a great time for seniors to be applying for scholarship opportunities. The Midland Area Community Foundation Scholarships are now available and they can be viewed on their website at www.midlandfoundation.org. For more scholarship opportunities, you can visit our webpage (www.bcreek.org) and go to either the student or parent section and click on the counseling link. The scholarship link was recently updated. Students can also view scholarship opportunities in the Lancer Lounge area and on the D-Wing bulletin board.
6. Attached is a flyer about a Bullock Creek Baseball Bottle and Can Drive taking place on January 2, 2016 to help support the Bullock Creek Baseball program. If you’d like to donate to this bottle and can drive, please see the flyer for more information.
7. Delta College will be hosting an SAT Workshop. This three session course is tailored to the individual needs of the students. The sessions will offer practice drills and methods to approach the critical reading, writing, math and essay writing portions of the SAT. There is a cost for students to attend this workshop. To register, or for more information, please contact Delta College at www.delta.edu/lifelonglearning or 989.686.9444.
I hope you have the opportunity to enjoy this time of year with your family and friends.
Enjoy the break.
