Dear Bullock Creek Parents:
On April 19, 2016, I sent a letter, which indicated that we would need to add instructional hours to our 2015-16 calendar due to inclement weather cancellations. Shortly after sending the letter, a notice was provided by the Michigan Department of Education which allowed school districts to apply for a waiver that would grant forgiveness for inclement weather cancellations beyond the allowable 6 days. I did in fact apply for the waiver and asked for forgiveness of the 4.25 hours. On May 9, 2016, we received notification from the Michigan Department of Education that we have been granted forgiveness of the 4.25 hours. This then allows the Bullock Creek School District to revert back to our original calendar with the last day of school on Thursday, June 9, 2016. Below are release times for June 9, 2016:
Thursday June 9, 2016:
Middle School 11:00 a.m.
High School 11:15 a.m.
Bullock Creek Elementary 12:20 p.m.
Floyd Elementary 12:35 p.m.
Pine River Elementary 12:35 p.m.
