Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year. I hope everyone is enjoying the final weeks of summer and looking forward to beginning school in September. The staff here has been busy preparing for a fantastic school year. As you plan your next few weeks, let me provide some important information and dates for your calendar.
On August 23th we will be handing out 8th grade schedules and lockers from 10:00am-11:00am, 7th grade from 11:00am-12:00pm and 6th grade from 1:00pm-2:00pm. For those who cannot attend the above listed times, schedules will also be available for pick up between 6:00-7:00pm. For all 6th grade students and students new to the building, we will host a Student Orientation on August 23th from 6:00pm-7:00pm, which will provide time for schedule pickup and will also include a short Middle School informational meeting. If this is your first time attending Bullock Creek Middle School as a 6th grader or transfer student, this meeting is for you. We will conclude the meeting with an opportunity for students to find classroom locations and lockers.
Below I have provided a few important dates for your calendar. As we move through the school year I will communicate important information through email. In order to receive this communication you must be signed up in Skyward with a current email address. Many people are familiar with this program and are already on our list. If you are not signed up for Skyward, please make certain that you do. At the schedule pickup day on August 23th, information will be provided for you to set up your Skyward account, learn how to use the Wiki page and register to receive my newsletters. Teachers at the middle school use Skyward and the district Wiki page to keep you as up to date as possible. Please take advantage of these tools.

September 6th – First day of school (7:40am-2:25pm)
September 13th – School Picture Day
September 15th – MS Dance
September 15th – Curriculum Night/Barbecue (4:00pm-5:30pm)
