HS Announcements – October 12, 2016

TOMORROW is the last day to sign up for the PSAT/NMSQT.  We only have a couple spots left, so sign up soon.  You can register in the Counseling Center and the cost is $15.00.
Happy Michigan College Month!  Tomorrow is our first College Trivia Thursday Giveaway!  Answer tomorrow’s trivia question on the tickets provided by your first hour teacher for a chance to win a $25 Target Gift card at the end of this week.  Correct answers will also be entered into a grand prize drawing at the end of the month for a brand new KOCASO Windows Tablet with a bluetooth keyboard!  Make sure you check out and follow Mr. Bonello’s Instagram at “bchscollegesuccess” and Twitter at “SuccessBchs” for a hint at tomorrow’s question!  Good luck!
Please sign up in the Counseling Center to meet with the college representative from CMU tomorrow at 1:30; Albion College on Friday at 1:30; or Northern Michigan University next Monday at 1:40 p.m.
Hey Lancers!  Save a life!  Sign up in the main office for the fall blood drive being held this Friday, October 14th!
Attention seniors:  this Friday is our first FAFSA Friday of Michigan College Month!  All seniors who stop into Mr. Bonello’s office to make an FSA ID or start their FAFSA will receive a coupon for a free crazy bread from Little Cesar’s Pizza!  In addition, any student who shows Mr. Bonello their FSA ID confirmation email at any point during the month will be entered into a drawing for a brand new KOCASO Window Tablet with a bluetooth keyboard!  Crazy bread coupons are limited so come in quickly!
Attention all Winter Sport Athletes: For those students interested in participating in a Winter Sport, there will be sign-up sheets located in the main office at Mrs. Huntoon’s desk.  Sign-up sheets will be available until next Monday.  On Tuesday, Oct 18th, we will have our Winter Sports Meetings. If you have any questions, please see your coach or Mr. Badour.
Creekers for a Cause will be collecting any spare change you might have over lunch the next few days.  Donate change, get candy and put your name on a “healing heart” for Mrs. Spyker!
What do erasers, cotton candy, and YOU all have in common?  PINK!!  We need to see everyone, yes, EVERYONE, dressed in pink for school on Friday.  Be sure to wear your pink for our PINK OUT at Friday night’s home football game  to support Mrs. Spyker and her battle against breast cancer.
Yesterday, the boys cross country team competed at the 3rd TVC Central meet of the season. The boys finished in 2nd place overall in the central division!  Brennan Mudd finished in 1st place while Spencer Waldmann took 2nd place. Both Brennan and Spencer earned 1st Team All-Conference honors. Thatcher Trudell was 15th, and earned 2nd Team All-Conference honors. Finishing out our top 7 runners were, DJ Parkinson in 19th, Joe Sira in 30th, Brett Pinet in 36th, and Luke Winslow in 43rd.  Awesome job guys!  Our next meet is next Tuesday at the TVC Championships hosted by Caro.
