HS Announcements – October 13, 2016

Hey awesome StuCo Peeps!  There will be a full council meeting tomorrow morning at 7 am in Mrs. DuBois’s room–8B.  Committee Chairs–please bring information from your meetings.  Please be there and BE ON TIME–you know our meetings are filled with surprises!
Please sign up in the Counseling Center to meet with the college representative from Albion College tomorrow at 1:30; or Northern Michigan University on Monday at 1:40 p.m.
Hey Lancers!  Last chance to sign up for tomorrow’s blood drive. Help save a life!
Attention seniors:  Tomorrow is our first FAFSA Friday of Michigan College Month!  All seniors who stop into Mr. Bonello’s office to make an FSA ID or start their FAFSA will receive a coupon for a free crazy bread from Little Cesar’s Pizza!  In addition, any student who shows Mr. Bonello their FSA ID confirmation email at any point during the month will be entered into a drawing for a brand new KOCASO Window Tablet with a bluetooth keyboard!  Crazy bread coupons are limited so come in quickly!
Attention all students interested in participating in a Winter Sport:  There are sign-up sheets located in the main office at Mrs. Huntoon’s desk.  You may sign-up through next Monday.  On Tuesday, Oct 18th, we will have our Winter Sports Meetings. Students must be signed up in advance to be able to attend the meeting on Tuesday.  If you have any questions, please see your coach or Mr. Badour.
Creekers for a Cause will be collecting any spare change you might have during lunches.  Donate change, get candy and put your name on a “healing heart” for Mrs. Spyker!
What do erasers, cotton candy, and YOU all have in common?  PINK!!  We need to see everyone, yes, EVERYONE, dressed in pink for school tomorrow.  Be sure to wear your pink for our PINK OUT at Friday night’s home football game to support Mrs. Spyker and her battle against breast cancer.

The girls cross country team placed third overall in the Tri-Valley Central conference after their last jamboree Tuesday evening.  Brooklynn Riggle finished in 11th place with a time of 21:26 for the girls earning second team honors, Bailie Gagne came in 14th with a time of 21:32 and was also named to the second team.  Rounding out the girls top five were Samantha Chew (23:37), Angie Lenon (23:54), and Laura Valliere (24:02).  Great job, ladies!
