Parents,
I would like to pass along a few informational pieces to you.
As I am sure you are aware, Halloween is fast approaching. Teachers should have communicated with you the time for the classroom party. I would like to remind you that costumes should not include weapons, blood or gore. Also, due to the recent reports in the media regarding individuals dressed in scary clown outfits, for the safety and enjoyment of all students, no scary clown outfits will be allowed (by students or adults). We appreciate you being understanding of this request.
Unfortunately, it is that time of year when the spread of head lice seems to be in full force. The policy is to send a note home to the students in the grade level where there has been an occurrence of head lice. Even if you have not received a note, it is a good practice to routinely check your child’s head.
Please put the following dates on your calendar:
Tuesday, November 8, there will be no school for students as teachers will be participating in Professional Development activities.
Thursday, November 10, there will be picture retakes in the morning at Pine River. The school pictures that were taken on October 6 have not yet arrived, but the packets will be coming soon. If your child was absent on the day of pictures, this will be the time to have his/her picture taken. If you decide you would like your child’s pictures retaken, remember to send in the original picture package on or before the day of retakes.
