Thursday during both lunches, there will be representatives from Midland County Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. Stop by and talk to them about opportunities to take CTE classes next year in Health Tech, Automotive Tech, CAD, Agriscience, and many more.

Class of 2018, please invite your parents to attend this important meeting Thursday, February 2 at 6:00pm in the High School Auditorium. Graduation requirements, off campus program opportunities, college and technical school visits, college applications, college entrance exams, scholarships, financial aid, and work-based learning will be topics addressed at the meeting.

For a senior Capstone project, a group of girls are helping out the Humane Society by holding a blanket drive in the school. The blanket drive will start on Monday, February 6th and end on February 16th. There will be boxes at the end of each wing and there will also be a container to collect change in Mrs. Discher’s room, 5E, if you would like to help out but don’t have any blankets to donate. Donations of change or blankets in any condition are needed and appreciated by the girls and especially the Humane Society, as they need all the help they can get. This past weekend, the Lancer Boys Bowling team defeated Chesaning 16 to 14 behind Jordan Cody’s 180 game. The Lancer Girls team, newly ranked # 10 in the State in Division 3, defeated Carrollton behind Elizabeth Ancel’s 196 game then fell to # 2 ranked Swan Valley. Elizabeth Ancel the high game with a 167. Both teams are back in action this Saturday at Crooked Creek in Saginaw.
