Dear BCMS Families,
Here are a few important reminders for the week…
1. Homecoming is on Friday – below is some important information.
Homecoming Parade – Friday, September 28 – Begins at 4:30 p.m. from the corner of Stewart and Patterson Road. Anyone in the Parade should arrive at the parade route by 4:15 p.m.
There will be a shuttle bus that will transport people in the parade from the high school to the beginning of the parade route. The buses will begin to transport people at 3:45 p.m. and the last bus will leave at 4:15 p.m. If you or your student is walking in the parade, this is a great way to get to the parade route, avoid the parade traffic, and not have to worry about your car. The buses will leave from in front of the main office area. If you drive to the parade route, please do not drive down Patterson Road. This is where all of the floats set up and cars should not be driving on this road. There is also limited parking at the church on the corner of Stewart and Patterson.
After the parade, please join us for some tailgating food. There will be several food trucks set up in the high school parking lot, near the auditorium.
The Homecoming Football game is against Freeland and begins at 7:00 p.m.
2. Parent/Teacher Conferences – I encourage ALL families to attend one of our conference nights. This is a great opportunity to meet the teachers and make a connection with the school. Conferences can be busy, especially on the first night and at the beginning of the evening. Families may want to consider coming in at a time that might be less busy. We want everyone to have an opportunity to see the teachers.
-October 4th 4-7:30pm (6th grade conferences in the gym, 7th grade in the cafeteria and
8th grade in the library)
-October 8th 3-6:30pm (6th grade conferences in the library, 7th grade in the cafeteria and
8th grade in room 102)
3. October 12th – ½ day for students – BCMS will release at 10:30. No lunches will be served.
4. October 18th – BCMS Dance 2:30-4:00
