Pine River Elementary Families,
I have some very exciting news to share with you!
Pine River Elementary School has been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School for 2018 by U. S. Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos. The school’s academic achievement allowed us to qualify as an Exemplary High Performing School.
This is a highly coveted award in the education world. Only 13 schools in Michigan received this award for 2018.
The staff, students and parents of Pine River Elementary are to be commended for their commitment to learning and providing the best atmosphere for excellence to occur.
In November, Superintendent Shawn Hale, Patrick VanCise and I will travel to Washington D.C. to receive the award. We look forward to celebrating this accomplishment with the Pine River Elementary community.
