Here is some information from Bullock Creek High School on upcoming events:
1. The football awards banquet will be held on Friday, Nov. 11th, at 5:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
2. Upcoming Testing Opportunities
ACT PRACTICE TEST
Bullock Creek High School, in cooperation with Sylvan Learning Center, will be offering a full-length Practice ACT Test on Thursday, December 1. The cost is $25.00 and you can sign up until November 28 in the Counseling Center. Please bring a check or money order written out to BCHS. This is a great opportunity for juniors to prepare for the real ACT which will be administered in March. Sophomores are also invited to take the Practice ACT.
ASVAB
BCHS will be administering the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) on Thursday, December 22. This test is available for all interested juniors and seniors and is free of charge. Students taking the ASVAB do not have to plan on joining the military. Students should pick up a permission slip and register in the Counseling Center by December 2.
MME
The Michigan Merit Exam (MME) will be administered to all juniors in March at Messiah Lutheran Church. The MME is a series of three testing days.
March 6 – ACT Plus Writing
March 7 – ACT WorkKeys
March 8 – Michigan Components (Science, Social Studies, and Math)
More detailed information about the MME will be sent to you in February.
3. Jr. Class fundraising event – EVERY MONDAY in NOVEMBER & EVERY MONDAY in DECEMBER, at
MANCINO’S PIZZA & GRINDERS on South Saginaw Road. You will need to have a coupon. A copy of the coupon is attached.
Again, they will give us 20% of the sales before tax but you MUST present a coupon!

8. Juniors interested in Co-oping during their senior year should sign up in the Career Center for the informational meeting.

4. The first Family Movie NIght of the year is scheduled for Friday, November 11 @ 7:00. The feature presentation will be CARS 2 by Disney/Pixar.
5. Parents of the Class of 2012, attached you will find important information about scholarship opportunities for many colleges and universities. If your student is planning to attend college, now is the time to start applying for
admission. If you have any specific questions about scholarships or colleges, please contact our career and counseling center.
6. If your student is a Senior, attached is a list of the important dates as we head toward graduation.
7. Boys basketball practices begin Monday, October 14. A completed physical must be on file in the office to participate and return all other forms to Mr. Freeland.

9. There is no school for students on Tuesday, November 15. This is a professional development day for staff.
10. Due to no school next Tuesday, After School Intervention will be held on Wednesday and Thursday next week. ASI runs from 2:50 until 4:05 in room 2D.
11. There is also no school on Wednesday, November 23, Thursday, November 24, and Friday, November 25 due to Thanksgiving Break.
