Dinner for Pine River Elementary Families!
The congregation of Homer United Methodist Church knows how difficult it can be to feed your family at a reasonable hour on the night of Parent Teacher Conferences.  They are serving a free dinner for Pine River Elementary families on both Parent Teacher Conference evenings (October 22 and 25) from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Homer United Methodist Church on the corner of Homer Road and East Prairie.  The church members hope to see you there!
Two announcements from Saginaw Valley State University:
Community Youth Days are free sport clinics for girls and boys who are in grades K-8 and take place throughout the year.  Participants receive a free t-shirt, skill instruction from SVSU’s own varsity athletes and coaches and complimentary admission into the varsity football or basketball game that follows the clinic.  Participants may be invited to participate in game day promotions and are entered into a chance to win prizes (e.g. bicycles, college scholarships, karaoke machine, etc.)  On two occasions we will be fitting the first 100 kids who register for bicycle helmets. These clinics have “no strings attached”, we just want to invite the community to campus, expose young people to institutions of higher education and engage them in physical activity.
Trunk-or-Treat around the track is free, fun, weather proof, family friendly and kid-safe trick-or-treating experience for kids in grades K-8.  This event takes place on Friday, October 26th and we offer more than just candy, each team has an activity station where kids can interact with our varsity athletes and we hand out healthy snacks in addition to candy.  For more information:  http://svsucardinals.com/Community/TrunkorTreat
    Have a wonderful week!
