Hey Lancers!! If you’re interested in being a part of student council, there are a few positions available for our fall elections. See Mrs. Syring or Mrs. DuBois for an elections packet. Be a voice, not an echo!
This week is U of M vs. MSU! Support your favorite team at lunch this week by participating in Penny Wars. All proceeds will go toward Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
October is Michigan College Month and we’re playing College Survivor. Go to the Counseling Office to begin the challenge and you could win a free full size candy bar!
On Friday, October 19th, Michigan Blood will be in the main gym for the blood drive. To donate you must sign up during lunch hours or the sign up sheet will be in the main office. You must be at least 16 years old, with a parent signature, or 17 to donate. 110 lbs for boys and 120 lbs for girls. If you are a first time donor you must have a green sign up sheet.
Don’t forget to show your support for Breast Cancer Awareness Friday by wearing pink to school and to the game.
Are you interested in playing a winter sport? The Winter Sport meetings are Wednesday October 24th. You must sign up to be able to attend these meetings. The sign up sheets are on Mrs. Huntoon’s desk, in the main office.
The boys cross country team competed at the All-TVC Championship Meet yesterday. Leading the team with a 24th place finish was Lucas Kindy, and closely behind was Steven Lenon in 28th. By placing in the Top 30, Lucas and Steven earned All-TVC 3rd Team Honors. Our other varsity runners had strong performances as well. Nate Simmons finished in 36th, Brett Pinet in 43rd, Louis Kehr in 48th, Isaiah Butcher in 58th, and Drew Nestle in 72nd. Great job to all our runners! The cross country team’s next meet will be this Friday at the Alma College Classic.
