Listen up Lancers- we have a 7th grade student who needs our support! Deacon Orlowski was recently diagnosed with cancer. We are raising funds for him and his family this week to help offset their travel expenses for his weekly and sometimes daily trips to Ann Arbor for treatments. Starting on Wednesday, we will be collecting donations during lunches. Bring in your spare change and sign a basketball or football to show your support. In honor of Deacon, the proceeds from our Yummy Treat Wednesday sales will be donated to his family as well. Bring your dollar and another for a friend to purchase a delicious cookie. Then on Friday we will have a special benefit for his family during the Varsity Basketball Games.
Spring sports meetings will be Thursday, Feb 28th. You must be sign up to be able to attend. Sign up sheets are in the main office at Mrs. Huntoon’s desk.
Junior Class officers and reps: There will be an IMPORTANT meeting on Wednesday at 7:15 am in ROOM 6A. Please be there!!!
Seniors, do you need help with scholarships or the FAFSA? Come to our Workshop this Friday during lunch in the library. We will have snacks and be giving away great prizes, including a Starbucks gift card!
Seniors, there is still plenty of time to get your applications in for the Midland Area Community Foundation Scholarships. Visit www.midlandfoundation.org before the March 1st deadline.
The Delta College Accuplacer test will be held @ BCHS on March 5th. Please go to the Counseling Office if you would like to sign up to take the test.
Did you know that every 9 minutes, someone in the US dies from leukemia? You can help change this statistic by donating to Pennies for Pasta. We can reach our goal of $800 if everyone donated $2. We have one more week to donate and Mr. Barth’s sixth hour is still in the lead with Mrs. Discher’s beating out Mrs. Sweebe’s for second. Don’t wait, donate. You can save a life.
Lunch Tuesday: Chicken Pot Pie over Biscuits, Chili w/Biscuit, Cooks Choice, Tossed Salad & Applesauce Cup.
