Seniors, there are still many scholarship opportunities out there for you! Today’s featured scholarship is the Michael F. Freeland Memorial Scholarship.This one thousand dollar scholarship is for Varsity athletes with at least a 3.0 GPA. Pick up an application in the Lancer Lounge. The deadline is this Wednesday.
Giving blood saves lives. The NHS is hosting another blood drive this Friday, March 15th. New donors and any 16-year-olds must fill out the green donor sheet and turn them in by tomorrow. Sign-ups are in the office and will be at lunch later this week. Girls must weigh 120 lbs and boys 110 lbs.
Juniors and Seniors: The Michigan Army National Guard is having their annual Meet the Guard Career Expo. on Tuesday, March 19 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Armory. Sign up in the counseling office if you are interested in attending. Additional information and permission forms are by the sign-up sheet.
Chippewa Nature Center has a unique opportunity for you to volunteer and earn some valuable experience this summer. Counselors-in-training volunteer alongside Nature Day Camp staff to help campers have a fantastic day camp experience. Applications are available at www.chippewanaturecenter.org and are due on April 12th.
Congratulations to both of the high schools bands who performed at MSBOA Band & Orchestra Festival this weekend! The JV Band earned the second possible highest rating of Division 2, which is considered “Excellent”. The Varsity Band earned a Division I rating, which is the highest rating possible and is considered “Superior”. Because they earned a Division I, they will be performing at the State Band Festival in May.
