Even though people call e-cigarettes “vapes,” they don’t create a water vapor. They create an aerosol – you know, like bug spray or Febreeze. You wouldn’t put these sprays into your lungs, would you? The aerosol is made up of a high concentration of ultrafine particles, and the particle concentration is higher than in conventional tobacco cigarette smoke. These nanoparticles are more easily and deeply breathed into the lungs of the user and bystander than particles from cigarette smoke.
