Last Day of School June 12th

May 16, 2019

Dear Bullock Creek Parents and Staff:

As you may have heard, last Friday on May 10th, Governor Whitmer signed House Bill 4206 into law. This now allows Michigan schools to apply to the Michigan Department of Education for forgiveness of days canceled during the declared state of emergency in late January. Today we received word from the Michigan Department of Education that Bullock Creek has been granted additional forgiveness for January 29 – February 1, 2019. We can now officially move to June 12, 2019, as our last day of scheduled school for the 2018-19 school year. Scheduled release times on Wednesday, June 12 will be communicated by principals from our individual buildings.

Again, thank you all so much for your understanding as we carefully made safe travel decisions for our students and as we monitored legislative decisions in Lansing. It is such a pleasure to serve as your district superintendent. As always, if you have questions regarding this information, please do not hesitate to contact my office. I appreciate your support of the Bullock Creek School District.

Sincerely,

Shawn J. Hale

Superintendent
