May 28, 2019

A representative from Central Michigan University will be here on Thursday. Please sign up in the Counseling Office if you are interested in learning more about CMU.

Did you notice the flowers in the planter in front of Mr. Gorsuch’s office as you walked in? The purple and orange flowers represent anti-violence. These are a reminder to think before you act and that things you say have a permanent impact, positive or negative. Consider this quote-“Don’t make a permanent decision based on a temporary emotion.”  Remember that you have more choices than you think you have. Keep seeking the next option.

The teen brain is still developing, so it is more susceptible to addiction. Highly concentrated nicotine from e-cigarettes can cause addiction in teens more quickly than traditional cigarettes. A recent study showed that teens who vape are four times more likely to begin using traditional cigarettes within 18 months. If you are worried about your use, reach out to the Midland County Youth Interventionist.

LUNCH TOMORROW: Top Your Turkey or Ham & Cheese Sub, Vegetable Toppings and Fruit.
