BCHS ANNOUNCEMENT

February 3, 2021

Seniors – Get ready for FAFSA February! Every week for the entire month of February Ms. Gross will be drawing a winner for an Amazon gift card. Any seniors who have completed their FAFSA and filled out the FAFSA survey will be eligible to win a gift card. To kick off the month let’s congratulate Sydney Kutzke for winning a Keurig and Serenity Peasley for winning our first Amazon gift card! Please come down to the counseling office to claim your prize.

After School Intervention will be starting up again on Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s from 2:50 – 4:05 in Mrs. Sawicki’s room 11D. Work out a plan with your teachers to make up tests or late work ahead of time. Hope to see you today after school.

If you are a 10th grade student who is interested in learning more about the Early College Program at BC, please tune into our Google Meet tonight at 6:00pm. In addition to BC sharing about the program, a representative from Delta will be available to answer questions. The virtual meeting link was emailed to all 10th grade parents.

Would you like to surprise your friends or loved one with a nice present for Valentine’s day? Next week, the sophomore class will begin taking orders for Valentine Day carnations. You can buy a single flower for $2 or 3 flowers for $5. Don’t miss out on the chance and bring your money to lunch next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to make sure you get one!

Hey seniors! If you missed the first opportunity to meet with the U.S. Army recruiter, you’re in luck. He will be conducting another virtual visit on Monday, February 8th at 12:35 p.m.

The Drama Club will be performing a Monologue and Short Scene Showcase. Those wanting to be onstage should plan to attend our first rehearsal Monday, February 8th. If you want to help behind the scenes on crew, talk to Mr. Shields before school or Mr. Tisdale during the day. If you have any questions or are unable to attend and still want to participate, please email or talk to Mr. Shields before school in room 2D.

The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) can be a useful test to take if you’re trying to plan out your future career. It can give you insightful information on the careers that would be best suited for you. ASVAB can also prepare you for enlistment in the military. The ASVAB will be offered free of charge at BCHS on Thursday, February 11th. If you are a junior or senior interested in the ASVAB, sign up in the Counseling Center by February 9th.

Northwood University will also offer a virtual visit on Wednesday, February 10th at 9:00 am. Please sign up in the Counseling Center if you would like to meet with either of these representatives.

LUNCH TOMORROW – Asian Bowl Day – Orange Chicken, General Tso’s or Teriyaki Chicken, brown rice, asian veggies, egg roll and fruit.
