Floyd News and Notes for 3/8/21

Floyd Families-

I hope this note finds you well and enjoying the sun we’ve been seeing more and more of lately. What a welcome return! Here are some reminders for this week:

  • Our virtual book fair begins March 8th and we can’t wait to hear about the books the kids want to read! The link will take you to the Floyd Book Fair that officially opens on Monday, March 8th.
  • We have some fun reading activities planned for March is Reading Month. Watch for information from each child’s teacher as not all classrooms are doing the exact same activities.
  • Teachers are planning for conferences. If you haven’t scheduled a time for March 16th or 18th, please look for that communication from your child’s teacher.
  • Bullock Creek and Midland County ask students to not be absent more than ten unexcused days a year. Please be sure you are calling Ms. Amanda with absence details so that they can be appropriately marked excused (doctor, dentist, counseling, court, COVID, etc.) whenever possible.
  • BC Virtual students need to be attending class and/or completing work. Stay in touch with your teacher for attendance.
  • Edgenuity students will need to continue checking in with their BC mentor twice a week. This counts as your attendance.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Mrs. Moses
