Dear BCMS Families,
With BCMS pausing in person learning for the next two weeks and switching over to remote learning, there are several things that will need to be adjusted. Please read the entire email for new details.
1. During our remote learning period (April 13th – April 23rd) we will need to postpone our PSAT and M-STEP testing. Our plan is to reschedule these tests when we return to face to face instruction. Once we have these tests rescheduled, we will notify all online students and families of these new dates. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we move through these unexpected events.
2. Middle school athletics will pause as well during this time period (April 13th – April 23rd) so the plan to Covid test student athletes on Monday mornings will be delayed until we return to in person learning.
3. Student Remote Learning Schedule
1st hour 7:40 – 8:10
2nd hour 8:20 – 8:50
3rd hour 9:00 – 9:30
4th hour 9:40 – 10:10
5th hour 10:20 – 10:50
6th hour 11:00 – 11:30
Lunch 11:30 – 12:30
4. In order for BCMS to provided the highest quality remote learning for students we ask the following…
– Attend each class at the scheduled time by logging into the appropriate Google Classroom page
– Attend with the camera on so that they can be actively engaged in the lesson
– Attendance will be taken by the teacher through Google Classroom & will be recorded in Skyward
– Participate and answer/ask questions during the lesson
– Understand that assignments matter and grades will continue to be given
– Teachers will be continuing to provide quality lessons which align with our curriculum – students need to participate to stay caught up.
*Students not able to attend a class for an appointment or other such reason should contact the office and provide a doctor note if available.
5. Students are scheduled to return to in person learning on Monday, April 26th.
6. If your student has technical difficulties with a school-issued chromebook, please call 989 698-3250 or email BChelp@bcreek.org.
Thank you for your patience and flexibility during this time and we look forward to having students back to in person learning very soon.
