Dear Pine River Elementary Families,
Welcome to the month of May! As an educator, it is always so hard to believe when May hits, how quickly the rest of the school year moves.
This week we will begin M-Step testing 3rd and 4th grade students. For the most part, this will occur Tuesday and Wednesday of this week and next week. If your child has comments about the testing, please encourage them to do their best. Teachers do take breaks throughout the testing, but for most students this is a new format of assessment.
Pine River Elementary has partnered with Family Children Services to provide a licensed counselor to work with students who may need some support. If your child has a need to meet with Ms. Willoughby, please let me know and I will get the information to you. Ms. Willoughby has provided some information on working with your child ~ please take time to read the attached document.
Also attached you will find this week’s lunch menu.
Please mark on your calendar that the last day of school, June 9, will be a ½ for students. More information will be sent as we get closer to that date.
