Dear BCHS Families,
Just a few reminders regarding scheduled activities for next week…
August 23rd Schedule pick up for students in 10th, 11th and 12th grades. BCHS will host schedule pick up from 10:00am – 12:00pm. At this time sophomores through seniors may stop by the building to pick up their schedule, find class locations, locate their assigned locker and purchase a parking pass ($15). Staff will be available during this time to help answer questions.
August 23rd New student orientation will take place in the media center at BCHS from 1:00pm -2:00pm. This program is designed for any sophomore, junior or senior that is new to the district. Students will have an opportunity to learn about the high school, tour the building, ask questions and pick up their schedule and locker assignment. If parents/students would like to meet individually with a counselor, please contact the Counseling Office at (989) 631-2418 ext. 1509 to set up an appointment.
August 24th Freshmen orientation will take place between 11:00am – 1:30pm. This is designed for all incoming freshmen. Students will be introduced to key staff members, pick up schedules & locker assignments, learn about the high school, tour the building, enjoy lunch and ask questions. Freshmen should enter the building in the auditorium doors.
August 25th Student schedules will be available to view and download from Skyward beginning at 8am.
August 30th First day of school for students.
- BCHS will open for student entry at 7:20am – please do not arrive before this time.
- Student day will begin at 7:53am
- Student day will end at 2:38pm

After-school programs
ROCK Grounded is productive after-school programs that instill confidence and a sense of belonging, provide mentorship, tutors, games, activities, food, and a safe place for teens. We welcome middle and high school students aged 18 and under at The ROCK Underground at the Greater Midland Community Center each day from 2:30-6:00pm.
Teens check-in with staff and relax with their snack while the rest of their peers arrive. Each day, various planned activities are offered, including physical activity, homework and tutoring, crafts, and other games.

The ROCK is a drop-in program, meaning your student can leave when it makes sense for your family. All
participants must be pre-registered.

· Transportation will be available from Bullock Creek Middle and Bullock Creek High
· Students must have a ROCK bus pass to utilize and will need to show their pass each day
· BC students MUST participate in ROCK programs in order to utilize this transportation option
· If BC students check into The ROCK program and immediately check out, they will no longer be able to ride
Snow Days The ROCK in-person sites will NOT be open for snow days.
PD Days The ROCK Underground will be open each Professional Development day 8:00 am-6:00 pm. No busing available. Drop-in.
