Pine River Elementary Families,
Welcome back to the 2021-22 school year! The staff at Pine River Elementary is looking forward to seeing students tomorrow.
School begins at 8:40 a.m. and ends at 3:40 p.m. Busses will be running late for the first week of school as bus drivers learn new routes. Please be patient with pick up and drop off times.
Dropping off in the morning using the car line:
- Drop off begins at 8:40 a.m.
- Please pull all the way to the end of the sidewalk. This helps to move cars off of Pine River Road.
- While we will be practicing social distancing inside the building, cars in the drop off lane do not need to social distance. Please do not leave a gap between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of yours.
- If you need to get out of your vehicle to assist your child(ren), please pull around to the back of the sidewalk and park your vehicle. This will help to continue moving the car line and help with moving cars off of Pine River Road.
- If possible, please have your child exit on the passenger side of the vehicle.
Picking up in the afternoon using the car line:
- Using the PikMyKid app, parents (or other designee) will “Announce” when they arrive on the school’s campus. “Announcing” will be opened at 3:30 p.m. Don’t worry – if your app isn’t working properly, Mrs. Emmendorfer will be outside at 3:25 p.m. to assist.
- Mrs. Emmendorfer will come to your vehicle and you will show her your child’s dismissal ID number.
- Continue following the other cars in the line and always pull ahead as far as you can.
- Your child will be released to your vehicle.
- If there are multiple children you are picking up, we may ask you to pull to the back of the sidewalk and park.
If you need to pick up your child earlier than 3:30 p.m., come to the front door of the building, call the office (631-5121) and we will send your child out to you. The app does not allow for early pick ups.
I have attached two documents from PikMyKid ~ these are the same documents that were mailed to you in your child’s welcome packet. If you have any questions, please let us know. If you were a parent at Pine River Elementary last year, your child’s dismissal ID number is the same.
One more item for those of you who will be driving your child to school – please be aware that the road construction on Poseyville Road will continue for at least another week or so. If you are going to Bullock Creek Elementary, you will need to use Patterson Road to Miller Road ~ enter through the ball field entrance at the end of Miller Road. Coming to Pine River Elementary from Bullock Creek Elementary, you will need to take Miller Road to Patterson.
