Young people are especially vulnerable to sexual assault. People ages 16-24 are sexually assaulted at rates higher than any other age group. According to a 1998 US department of Justice Survey, 54% of women victims were under 18 at the time of the first rape and 83% of women victims were under the age of 25. This is an issue that many of your classmates are dealing with. How can you support them?
