We will be celebrating Nonviolence week this week. It will be a fun-filled week with lots of activities to help us promote nonviolence. Special things to remember this week. Friday will be “Superhero” Day where students can dress up like their favorite superhero to stand up against violence. Let’s make it a great week.
Today’s Bullying Facts & Statistics: 97% of Middle School students are bullied while online. 88% of teens say that they have seen someone be mean or cruel on a social network site.

Student council members remember that there will be a clean up on Thursday, May 3 after school.
Any student council member wishing to purchase a sweatshirt needs to see Mrs. Willsie, this week to pick up an order form. All money and orders are due Monday, May 7.
Any 8th grader interested in signing up 9th grade student council needs to see Mrs. Willsie tomorrow. If you do not sign up you will not be excused for the meeting on Friday.
Play cast members please see Mrs. Brandt sometime next week. She has some things to give each cast member and if you would like a DVD of The Fearsome Pirate Frank, you may purchase one for $1.00.

Attention 8th graders: Your Mackinac Island paperwork and money are due to Mrs. Willsie by Wednesday, May 2. List preferred group and chaperones. No late paperwork or money will be accepted.
