Principal News High School 5/18/12

BCHS Families,

Graduation and the end of the school year is quickly approaching. Here are some dates and information in regard to Graduation and the end of the school year:
1. Graduation is Friday, May 25 at 7:00 p.m. It will be held in the high school gymnasium.
2. Seniors’ last day of classes is Wednesday, May 23.
3. On Thursday, May 24, Seniors will have Graduation Rehearsal, Steak Fry, receive their cap and gown, and have other Senior activities on this day. They do not have classes. All school materials must have been returned and all outstanding fines paid before students will be issued their cap and gown.
4. The All-NIght Party for Seniors is on Friday after Graduation and it begins at 11:00 p.m. and will end at 4:00 a.m. It will be held at the Midland Community Center. Cost is $10 per student. We encourage all seniors to attend as it is a great way to wrap up their senior year and spend one last night with their classmates. They may sign up and pay with either Mrs. Flaminio or Mrs. Rubingh.
5.  There is also a picture opportunity the night of Graduation and pictures will be taken prior to the Graduation Ceremony. Pictures are $10 and they need to sign up and pay with either Mrs. Flaminio or Ms. Rubingh.
6. Tuesday, May 22, is the 2012 Awards Night Ceremony. This will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
7. This year there will be an opportunity to purchase a DVD copy of the Graduation Ceremony. They will be available for $15.  This will be a high quality DVD. It will be produced by Image Works and will be in high definition.  More information will be coming about how to order a DVD but this is a great way to get a quality recording of Graduation.
If you have any questions about Graduation, please contact us. The Senior Class Advisors are Mary Ann Flaminio and Maria Rubingh.
The last day of school for non-seniors, is Thursday, June 7th. This is a half day of school and high school students will be dismissed at 11:15 a.m.  Exams will be given on June 5th, 6th, and 7th.
There is no school on Monday, May 28 due to Memorial Day.
I know we are near the end of the school year but encourage your students to keep working hard and finish the year on a high note.
