On Thursday, May 24, Seniors will arrive at 9:00 a.m. for Graduation Rehearsal. They do not attend any classes on this day. Seniors should report directly to the gymnasium and use the outside doors into the gym. If a senior must be in the building prior to 9:00 a.m. due to transportation issues, they must report to the Career and Counseling Center.
Seniors will then have activities that will take them until the end of the school day. If a student needs transportation home, they can ride their bus as normal.
Here is a list of activities that will take place for the Seniors on Thursday:
*Rehearsal for graduation
*Speaker – Mike Carpenter, Prosecuting Attorney – “Real World Advice”
*Senior Class Picture
*Steak Fry Lunch
*Cap and Gown Distribution
*Senior reminders and announcements
*Signing of the Senior Board for the hallway
*Senior Walk Through at the end of the day
Reminder that in order for a student to receive their cap and gown, the student must have all of their school material returned and fines paid.
Seniors should also clean out their lockers by the end of the day on Thursday. During the following week, Senior lockers will be cleaned out and items left behind may be thrown away.
Graduation begins on Friday at 7:00 p.m. this year. Doors will be open at 5:30 p.m. for seating in the gymnasium.
Students must be lined up by 6:30 p.m., however, if they are planning on having their picture taken then they should be here no later than 6:00 p.m.
After the Graduation Ceremony, don’t forget about the Senior All-Night Party opportunity. This begins at 11:00 p.m. at the Midland Community Center and ends at 4:00 a.m. There will be lots of activities, food, and prizes. It is a great way for seniors to spend one last evening with their classmates.
We look forward to honoring our graduating seniors and hope you can join us.
Thanks,
Todd M. Gorsuch, Principal
