Middle School Principal News 6/4/12

June 4, 2012

Dear Bullock Creek Parents,

It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter. As many of you know, Mr. Krenzke has battled with brain cancer for the past 5 years. On May 18, 2012, he made the decision to retire from education in order to spend valuable time with his family. On Saturday June 2, 2012, Mr. Krenzke passed away. He has made such a positive impact in the Bullock Creek Community throughout his employment. Mr. Krenzke always had a smile on his face and positive words to say. He will be missed by all of us.

Our plan is to finish this last week of school with our long-term substitute, Mr. King. The 8th grade has two remaining class periods in Keyboarding and 7th grade students have only one. Mr. King will be grading the Keyboarding assignments and assigning final grades. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at Bullock Creek Middle School.

Wednesday June 6th, our 6th grade students were planning to travel to Greenfield Village for a field trip. Our plan is to postpone this trip to September 14, 2012. Details of the field trip will be sent home with students at the start of 2012-13 school year.

Funeral visitation will take place at Smith-Miner Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 5th from 3-7pm and at Messiah Lutheran on Wednesday at 10:00am. Following the visitation on Wednesday there will be a funeral at 11:00am also at Messiah. There will be no school on Wednesday, June 6th. There will be a half-day of school on June 7th and students will be released at 11:00am. Thank you for supporting your children through this difficult time.

Sincerely,

Shawn J. Hale
Principal
