The Bullock Creek Band is proud to honor the recipients of three band awards each year.
The John Philip Sousa Band Award is a top nationwide prize in the band field. It is given to the student displaying superior musicianship, leadership, dependability, loyalty, cooperation, and other qualities of conduct which school instrumental music programs strive to impart.

The Dan Prybyski Award is given in memory of avid Bullock Creek Band Supporter, Dan Prybyski. It is given to the student(s) who exemplifies some of Dan’s personal qualities: Quiet Strength, Guardian, Friend to Everyone, Positive Role Model, Loyal, and Commitment to Youth.

The Greg Smokovitz Director’s Award is given in appreciation of long-time former Bullock Creek Band Director, Greg Smokovitz. It is given to the student(s) who display qualities in growth in character, life skills, commitment, and musical talent.
