Dear Pine River Families,
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Pine River Elementary School. We look forward to seeing the returning students, welcoming the new, incoming third graders and also extending a warm welcome to all of the new families to the school and the district.
Last school year we initiated a consistent and meaningful development of curriculum to meet the new aggressive Common Core standards. I anticipate that we will continue to work with our students and families to educate everyone on the high expectations we all will share responsibility for implementing.
We are excited to meet everyone at our Open House on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 from 5:30 – 6:15 p.m. Please be sure you introduce yourself and if you have questions – please ask!
The first day of school is Tuesday, September 4. Our school day begins at 8:40. Dismissal will be at 3:40 p.m.
I am looking forward to seeing all of you and getting to know our new families.
