Second semester has begun and things are flowing smoothly. Report cards from first semester will be sent home with students on Monday February 4th. Included on the report cards are the grades from 1st quarter, 2nd quarter, exam grades (if an exam was given) and the final semester grades.
Homework Help (2H) is every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30-3:30pm. Please encourage you child to attend if they need extra help. Students also have the option each day to request a pass from a teacher they need extra help from. Please encourage your child to take advantage of this opportunity.
Just a quick reminder that the Criminal Sexual Conduct presentation for all 8th grade parents will take place on Wednesday February 6th at 7:00pm in the Jefferson Middle School Auditorium. This presentation will be given by the 42nd Circuit Court.
On February 11th, the 8th grade students will be traveling to the high school for the freshman orientation. 8th grade students will load busses at the end of the day at the high school. Any 8th grade student that needs pick up at the end of day can be picked up at the high school. Also on the 11th at 6:00 pm, there will be an 8th grade parent meeting in the high school auditorium for all incoming freshman.
The middle school ski trip will take place on February 13th. Students going on the trip will leave at 12:30pm and will return at approximately 7:00pm.
7th and 8th grade volleyball games will begin on February 11th at 4:15pm.
There is a school dance on February 14th from 2:30-4.
The middle school play will be performed on Thursday February 28th at 7:00pm and Saturday March 2nd at 2:00pm.
Attached to this newsletter on the district website is a Building Trades Fundraiser hosted by the Midland Home Builders association. Please RSVP as soon as possible as this event will take place on February 7th.
