March is Reading month and Bullock Creek Elementary held a Literacy Night to mark the occasion.
The computer lab was open and students were able to take Accelerated Reader tests or show their parents what they have been learning in computer lab. Mrs. Dullock and friends hosted a pirate activity in the computer lab. Other activities included coloring pages of Clifford and the Cat in the Hat, making reading glasses out of pipe cleaners, and creating a book mark. Both the Cat in the Hat and Clifford the Big Red Dog made an appearance. The book fair was open in the library and families were able to purchase new books or they could buy used books for 25¢. The Midland Roll Arena mascot stopped in to hand out passes for free roller skating. Representatives from the Midland County Sheriff department had a Dump Your Drugs table available. It was a fun night of learning experiences for Bullock Creek families.
