Good Afternoon,
I am sending this weeks newsletter a bit early so that you are aware of the homecoming festivities for this week.
The Homecoming Parade begins at 4:30 p.m. on Friday September 20th. The parade will leave from the corner of Stewart Road and Patterson Road, in front of the Midland Mennonite Church. Anyone in the parade should be at the parade route by 4:00 p.m. Please avoid driving on Patterson Road between Gordonville Road and Stewart Road. This is the staging area for all of the entries for the parade and it is very congested. Unless your vehicle is an actual entry in the parade, please avoid driving on this road. There will be a shuttle bus leaving the high school from 3:45-4:00 p.m. that is open to anyone participating in the parade. If students from the middle school wish to get off their bus at the high school, they must have a bus pass to do so. There will not be supervision at the high school for the hour before the shuttle begins transporting students to the parade. If possible, we would ask that your child ride the bus home and be brought back to the high school at 3:40. The shuttle busses will be located in front of the high school, near Gordonville Road. This is a great way to avoid the congestion at the parade route. If you are dropping someone off for the parade, please use Stewart Road and drop the person off in front of the church. There will be many helpers at the parade route to make sure students get to their correct location.
There will be the Homecoming Tailgate Party once again sponsored by the Bullock Creek Sports Boosters. This will be from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Attached is a flyer with information about the menu. All items will be $1 each. The food will be served in the atrium of the high school auditorium.
The Homecoming Football game begins at 7:00 p.m. against Chesaning.
The 2013 Homecoming Court. The King and Queen will be crowned at the game during halftime.
