Due to efforts lead by Director of Facilities, Bill Rogers, and implemented by facility upgrades funded through the District’s Bond-funded Capital Projects, the District was presented an energy incentive rebate check for $126,360.00 from Consumers Energy.
This stemmed from the installation of more efficient lighting, increased insulation, roofing upgrades, replacement windows and doors and related work.
Consumers Energy estimates the upgrades will save the District approximately $97,000.00 per year in potential energy cost reductions.
“Receiving these incentives to upgrade our facilities and provide energy cost reductions year after year lets us apply more resources to our main mission, providing high-quality education to our community,” said Charles Schwedler, Bullock Creek Superintendent of schools. “The incentive program has resulted in a true win-win for our district.”
