The swim up fry are now feeding. They have to learn to eat food off the surface of the water. Some of the larger, more developed fry have picked it up right away. Other are learning to get the food from the surface too. They don’t seem to eat once the food has fallen to the bottom of the tank. The food is ground up insects that are formed into pellets. The food size is calibrated to the size of the fish. Soon we’ll be moving up to the #2 pellet size. You may have noticed that the water has cleared up significantly now that the tank has fully cycled. Much easier to see and enjoy the fish.
