The ROCK Youth Center and King of the Road Driving School are offering a SCHOLARSHIP opportunity for the Segment 1 Class starting Monday, October 24. Learn about careers at local industries including Dow Chemical and Dow Corning, including facility tours, demonstrations, hands-on activities and the opportunity to meet world-class scientists. Kick-off event for the Science and Technology Explorer Post is Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at the Dow Chemical Michigan Operations 1790 Building on Washington Street. This is a co-ed high school program for ages 14-20. Explorer Post membership is limited to 100 students and requires a $20 registration fee payable at the kick-off event. There will be an ACT Test Preparation Workshop at Saginaw Valley State University on Saturday, November 19. The cost is $85.00 for the workshop. For more information stop by the Career Center to pick up a flier.
The PSAT will be offered at BCHS on Wednesday, October 12. The cost is $14.00 and juniors and sophomores may register by signing up in the Counseling Center with a check or money order to BCHS. Deadline to register is October 7.
