Evolution of Dance sponsored by United Way

United Way of Midland County welcomes Judson Laipply and his “Evolution of Dance”

We are thrilled to welcome Judson Laipply as the 2011  United Way Community Kick-off featured presenter. Judson is the creator of “The Evolution of Dance.” With over 170 million YouTube views, it has become the third most popular video of all time. His performance promises to do two things for the audience; make them laugh and make them think. Judson’s presentation will focus on the 5 L’s of Living: Laugh, Listen, Learn, Live and Love.

Utilizing a phenomenon labeled “Inspirational Comedy,” Judson blends the realities of life with side-splitting humor. His highly energetic demeanor and unyielding charisma are used to enlighten and energize audiences. His easy going and playful stage presence helps engage even the toughest audience, while his finale has everyone howling in their seats.

Judson reinforces his mantra with “The Evolution of Dance,” his own six-minute rendition of the last 50 years of popular dance moves. This promises to be a fun and relevant event for the whole family.

The kick-off will be held on September 15th at 6:30 p.m. at the Midland Center for the Arts. Ticket prices are $15 per person and are available at the Midland Center for the Arts box office, by calling (989) 631-8250 or visiting www.mcfta.org. Tickets will also be available at the door. Special group discounts are available for youth groups and those that serve youth. Call United Way at (989) 631-3670 for more information.

A special encore performance will take place the following day exclusively for all 8th grade students throughout the county.

“Judson’s message will appeal to everyone in our community, both the young and the young at heart,” shared 2011 United Way of Midland County Campaign Chair Kevin Parker. “What an incredible opportunity for some great family fun, with a inspirational message about living life.”

Don’t miss this exciting community event sponsored by: Chemical Bank, The Dow Chemical Company, Dow Corning Corporation, MidMichigan Health and supported through the generosity of Midland Center for the Arts.
