BCHS Families:
As we get set to head for our Winter Break, I would like to wish everyone a safe and wonderful break. Hopefully you get a chance to enjoy the season and the time with family and friends.
Students return from Winter Break on Monday, January 5, 2015. Upon return, there is only a week of school before we get to our exam week. Exams will be given on Thursday, January 15, and Friday, January 16. Attached is a copy of the exam schedule.
Friday, January 16 is the end of the first semester at the high school. There is no school for students on Monday, January 19 and then students will return for the start of second semester on Tuesday, January 20.
Creekers For A Cause will be holding a benefit at tonight’s Bullock Creek High School Varsity Girls and Boys basketball games. This benefit is to help with medical expenses for Sarah and Bethany Coyle and William Starks, who were recently involved in a serious car accident.
There will be a Half-Time Basketball Shoot Out, Silent Auction, 50/50 Raffle, Ugly Sweater Contest, and more. Don’t have an ugly sweater? Bring a package of diapers or other baby items for Brinley.
Here are some additional notes and news from the high school:
1. Attached is a flyer and an order form for the Sports Boosters Spring Fundraiser. The event is called the Black and Gold Bash and it will be held on March 14. For more information, please see the attached flyer.
2. There will be a Financial Aid Information Night held at Bullock Creek High School on Thursday, January 8 at 6:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium. This is a great night to learn about how to apply for financial aid and also what other type of aid is available to students and families. Also attached is a flyer with additional dates and workshops being offered in Midland County to help families through the financial aid process. You are welcome to attend any of the events in Midland County.
3. Senior slide show pictures are due on Friday, January 16, 2015.
4. We will be starting to work on student scheduling for the 2015-16 school year at the beginning of February. Below are some important parent meetings that we will be holding to discuss scheduling choices, graduation requirements, and other upcoming options for students.
February 4 – Class of 2019 Parent Meeting – This is for parents of incoming freshmen
students. It will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
February 5 – Class of 2017 Parent Meeting – This is for parents of current sophomores. It will
be held at 6:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
February 5 – Class of 2016 Parent meeting – This is for parents of current juniors. It will be
held at 7:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
